Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel has rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur. Sky Sports reports that Tottenham and Bayern Munich had reached a verbal agreement on a £50 million deal. However, Tel has reportedly turned down a move to the Premier League side.

Tottenham are set to rival Chelsea and a number of clubs across Europe in the race to sign for Mathys Tel after he pushed for a transfer away from Bayern Munich, sources have told ESPN.

Mathys Tel remains open to joining Manchester United or Arsenal after rejecting a move to Tottenham. Spurs agreed a €60 million (£50.2m) deal with Bayern on Thursday but the deal was dependent on whether Tel accepted the offer from Ange Postecoglou’s side.
