The employee found a snake — later identified as an Ornate Cat-eyed Snake, which officials say is a mildly venomous snake species native to Ecuador, New Hampshire Fish and Game wrote in a Facebook post. New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officer Griffin McKeown told WMUR-TV that a call reporting a venomous snake was a unique experience.

An employee at Market Basket in Manchester found the ornate cat-eyed snake inside a shipment. The snake is now being handled by rescue organizations.
