A 60-year-old driver died in a crash following a police pursuit of a vehicle that was taken in an armed robbery, Milwaukee police say.

Police say the two-year-old ran into traffic and was hit by a driver. The child was taken to a local hospital and later died. The driver was arrested.

Edwards said police told her a 2-year-old was hit by a car and was “not okay.” Multiple blocks of North 60th Street were closed to traffic just before 2 p.m., according to a reporter at the scene. The location is near several apartment and condo buildings as well as the Brady Corporation headquarters.
