Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has defended Ruben Amorim’s criticisms of the team and says the head coach’s comments fired him up. Amorim previously said this United team were “maybe the worst in history” following last weekend’s 3-1 home defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion.
Bruno Fernandes de Souza was speaking in response to public outcry over second division club Boa Esporte’ decision to sign him on a two year contract after he was released from prison early.
Ruben Amorim, Manchester United's manager, couldn't help but smile as he talked about Bruno Fernandes' tendency to wear his heart on his sleeve, something Amorim himself is guilty of at times.
