Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg says he doesn't expect the U.S. trade war with China to get in the way of its its financial recovery and aircraft delivery targets even though Chinese airlines are refusing to accept the company's planes.

China Southern Airlines did not directly disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the tender for the sale of ten Boeing 787-8s.

China has ordered its airlines not to take any further deliveries of Boeing jets in response to the U.S. decision to impose 145% tariffs on Chinese goods, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
