Vice President Kamala Harris has won the popular vote in New York over former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race, CBS News projects, and with it the state's 28 electoral votes. CBS New York is tracking the results in each county, and you can see how your area voted below.

Of the counties with nearly complete results, more than 90 percent shifted in favor of former President Donald J. Trump in the 2024 presidential election. The map below shows how votes cast in this race compare with votes cast in the 2020 presidential election in the same area. Only areas that have reported almost all of their votes are shown.

While New York is typically considered a solidly blue state, much attention is being paid to it in 2024 since a "red wave" swept over Long Island in 2022​, helping Republicans take control of the House.

Former President Donald Trump won South Carolina on Tuesday for the third straight presidential election. It was a decisive victory with Trump earning 58 percent of the vote to Vice President Kamala Harris’ 40 percent.

Donald Trump lost the county (62.3% to 34.4%) and he lost the state, but the next president performed much better than anyone in Hudson County could have expected. Perhaps places like North Bergen and Union City are not the Democratic strongholds we thought they were.
