Josh Jacobs is headed back to the postseason. The Green Bay Packers blew out the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, coming away with a 34–0 home win. In the process, they improved to 11-4 and clinched a playoff spot.
Josh Jacobs eclipsed 100 yards from scrimmage and the Green Bay Packers defense pitched the first shutout of the 2024 NFL campaign in a dominant win over the New Orleans Saints, clinching the NFC's fourth playoff spot.
Jacobs did not see a ton of action against the Saints but he still led the Packers with 69 rushing yards and a touchdown on 13 carries to go with 38 receiving yards on four receptions and four targets. As for Carr, he can be expected to sit out the rest of the season, given his injury and the Saints being out of playoff contention already.
The Saints are entering Week 16 ranked 30th in the NFL in rushing success rate, 29th in rushing EPA/play, 31st in yards/carry, 30th in run defense DVOA and 31st in PFF run defense grade. Statistically speaking, this is one of the worst run defenses in football.
