General Motors pulled the veil off the Chevy Blazer EV.R, its all-electric NASCAR crossover prototype for the Cup Series.

Chevrolet has unveiled its Blazer EV.R NASCAR prototype in advance of the upcoming Daytona 500 race. This prototype reflects Chevrolet's commitment to testing and integrating new technologies that may benefit both its racing initiatives and production vehicles.

It’s called the Blazer EV.R, and it makes over 1,300 horsepower. Chevrolet has joined Ford in launching an electric NASCAR prototype. It’s called the Blazer EV.R, and it makes over 1,300 horsepower with three electric motors and a 78-kilowatt-hour liquid-cooled battery on board.

NASCAR finally unveiled a prototype meant to illustrate what an electric stock car racing series could look like. That car was shaped like a crossover, but one notably not meant to resemble any existing production car.
