Coco Gauff, the No. 3 seed in women's tennis, has continued her perfect start to the 2025 season with eight straight wins. Her latest came against Leylah Fernandez in the Australian Open third round, where she won 6-4, 6-2. With this win, Gauff has progressed to the second week of a major tournament for the 14th time.

Delray Beach's Coco Gauff was eliminated from the Australian Open Tuesday, losing in straight sets to Spain's Paula Badosa. The third-seeded Gauff, who had been playing well since the end of the year, fell 7-5, 6-4 in the quarterfinals at Rod Laver Arena.

Given everything she has already achieved in her fledgling career – and the weight of expectation she has borne as one of tennis’ rising superstars – it’s sometimes easy to forget that Coco Gauff is still only 20 years old.
