The Los Angeles Clippers signed Ben Simmons on Monday, two days after the Brooklyn Nets agreed to buy out his contract and waived the point guard.

Three-time NBA All-Star Ben Simmons has spent the last three seasons with the Brooklyn Nets after he was acquired by the Nets at the trade deadline in exchange for James Harden in 2022. The first overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft has spent much of his time in Brooklyn on the sidelines due to multiple injuries.

Ben Simmons, who was briefly mentioned in connection with the Rockets, is signing with the Clippers, ESPN reported. Simmons became a free agent after the trade deadline when his contract was bought out by the Brooklyn Nets.
