The mudslides, caused by Saturday morning rain showers, led to a temporary closure between State Route 27 and Carbon Beach Terrace.

In an update Saturday night, Caltrans said PCH will reopen Sunday at 6 a.m. to residents with burn scar passes, contractors, emergency responders, and designated Metro and school buses.
