A DoorDash driver and a man on his way to work were arrested near Fresno early Friday after allegedly racing each other down Highway 41 at 120 mph, the California Highway Patrol said. A 15-year-old was shot and killed at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on West 8th Street in Uptown, according to a report from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

The driver told police he thought the 15-year-old and another man were armed when he fatally shot the teenager in his car.
