A former Detroit Lion is expanding upon his successful television career. Nate Burleson, who played as a wide receiver for the Lions from 2010-2013, will debut next week as host of the latest revival of the legendary game show “Hollywood Squares” on CBS.

Due to the ongoing tragic wildfires in Los Angeles, tonight’s premiere of "Hollywood Squares" on CBS will move to next Thursday, Jan. 16 (at 8 p.m. ET).

Add “Hollywood Squares” to the list of shows that have been impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles. CBS announced it was moving the premiere of its game show revival to Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Originally, the series was set to premiere Thursday.

CBS is postponing tonight’s originally scheduled premiere of “Hollywood Squares” a week due to the wildfires throughout the Los Angeles area. As a result, the show will now bow on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.

The new iteration of the classic TV game show Hollywood Squares that is being hosted by Nate Burleson and featuring Drew Barrymore as the center square is not going to be premiering tonight, Thursday, January 9, on CBS as previously planned. Instead, the show is delaying its premiere one week until January 16.

Hollywood Squares involves two contestants who play tic-tac-toe to win money and prizes. The “board” for the game is a vertical stack of open-faced cubes, each occupied by a celebrity seated at a desk and facing the contestants. The celebrities are asked questions, and the contestants judge the legitimacy of their answers to win the game.

A popular game show is making its way back to television. Now hosted by Drew Barrymore and Nate Burleson, “Hollywood Squares” premieres Thursday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
