r/Twitch on Reddit: How do streamers use copyrighted music …
Jan 29, 2023 · New to Twitch, please forgive me. According to Twitch's TOS... you cannot use copyrighted music, period. But I'm checking out 7 different livestreamers, right now, all with 40 to 3000 viewers.... and the music they're playing is all pop songs.
How can streamers still play Copyrighted music in their streams??
Apr 24, 2021 · Stupid thinking. Twitch really doesn't care if you play music. The music industry cares and put pressure on Twitch. Way back when in the 90s, the music industry started suing individual people for downloading a few songs. These people ended up owing hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees and fines. All for a few songs.

Apr 30, 2021 · The filters for both Twitch and YouTube build a ton of confidence that you wont get mutes, claims or strikes. I tried Soundtrack by Twitch and that didn't work very well at all. To be fair, it's in beta, but it wasn't a good experience. Not only did the VOD still have plenty of music in it, the YouTube export flagged several songs as claims.
What are the ACTUAL rules for playing copyrighted music?
Oct 20, 2022 · Any "deal" with music licence holders would likely involve the streamers paying a fee to the licence holder, not Twitch taking on that expense for us. I know if you're having even a wedding in Canada, where clearly people are not coming for the playlist the couple hooks up to a shitty speaker, whoever is in charge of this stuff nationally ...

Aug 26, 2022 · Add the win-capture-audio plugin to OBS. Add an "application audio output" as a source for each program. Enable Twitch vod tracks, and set it to a different track than your stream in the Output tab. Disable Spotify or whatever music program you use from the twitch vod track in the advanced properties in the sound mixer
