Apr 9, 2022 · The Costco Auto Buying program is just a rebadged program provided by Auto Affinity Group. Costco doesn’t handle anything besides their name; it is all outsourced. Some AAA businesses also use AAG. Navy Federal Credit Union used to use AAG, but gave up and switched to TrueCar/Zag. The consumer benefits are limited at best at the moment.

Dec 17, 2008 · I have rented cars through Costco several times. Each time their rates were cheaper than what I could find anywhere else. The price is exactly what is quoted. I have never had a problem with any of the car rental companies when I book through Costco. On the insurance question, my advice is to check with your insurance carrier.

I'll shift the auto charge for annual Costco membership to BOA UCR 2.625% with all other autocharges and relegate Costco Citi to the dormant cards drawer. The only other transactions we've used it for are big items for the warranty extension, the autocharge has just insured it stays active in between.
