I have used Costco for a car purchase. I probably saved about $2000 with the Costco program. Yes it is possible to negotiate that much or more of a discount without Costco but it was worth it to me to just get a discounted price without the headache of negotiating with a car dealer.

Called up Costco Auto and found the closest location was an hour from me in Mobile Alabama and I specifically wanted a LE model.
