Apr 12, 2020 · While VTMB is an incredible game, it's also at times a mess due to the game being rushed. The amazing Unofficial Patch by Wesp is mandatory (available here ). Just download the latest release (currently 10.5 is the latest stable release) Note: the GOG version of the game comes with an old version of the patch installed already.

I do hope the final version will have better NPC reaction to gunfire, like the area of NPCs being alerted being much wider, hostile NPCs waiting with guns drawn in the direction you're coming from when you get to them, non-hostile NPCs panicking and not calming down until more time has passed.

Another way to easily gain skill points is to open up the "experience_table.txt" file and just change the xp of any upcoming quests. Most of VTMB's info is on simple text files so changing things around in game is fairly straightforward. You can add disciplines to clans, modify or create a clan history, modify items..
